The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy encourages any philosophy professor with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from around the world to submit a new article.
For ideas for article titles, you can consult either our list of desired articles or our lists of desired articles by subject-area of philosophy. You may also browse our list of article titles that are currently reserved. Prospective authors also may propose an article on any other traditional philosophy subject or philosopher not currently in the IEP.
To offer to submit a new article, send an email to a specific subject-area editor or to the general editors with a description of your article, and please indicate:
- your educational credentials and university affiliation,
- the provisional title of the proposed article,
- a brief comment on your qualifications such as having published or taught courses on the topic,
- a tentative (and realistic) date of completion; six months is typical, but it must be less than twelve.
